Trinidad and Tobago Carnival 2022

On the 19th January 2022 the government of Trinidad and Tobago via the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts have confirmed that Carnival 2022 is on…..for the those that are COVID-19 vaccinated!

THE NEW RULES

This will be implemented by:

• Events need to be pre-determined and need to fall under the “safe zones” policy framework.
• Staff, Service Providers, Artists and Patrons at such events need to be FULLY vaccinated.
• Mask wearing and all other physical Covid -19 prevention protocols must be in place.
• All events must adhere to the Public Health Regulations presently enforced.

CONCLUSION

Now that is a lot! Especially when you consider the Safe Zone policy and the Public Health Regulations, all venues are to be only filled to 50% capacity, controlled exits and entrances inclusive of sanitization upon entry. It also means only concert type shows are allowed, ergo the party aka “fêtes” of gyration and wining are not allowed. So clap your hands and tap your feet in enjoyment, maybe dance like a mannequin?
