New Trinibad Release: Zebee & Boy Boy•Big Yard

New Track alert from the Trinidadian Artists Zebee feat. Boy Boy named Big Yard Premiered Nov 1, 2023.

I really like this team, pound for pound they are a quality artist which have the potential to be even bigger. However, I will give the track “It’s a Kool Vybe”. Naturally, there are always a few key offerings that set your expectations for any artist, for me that track for this duo is “Brain Guh”.

The track revolves around descriptive lyrics of gun filled violence, digital scamming and boastful lyrics. Zebee provides the meat and potatoes of the track, with Boy Boy adding a varied cadence near the end of the offering.

For me, the term “Big Yard” means a large familial property that often time is notorious for the more seedier activities in a village.

I do wish the track was longer but modern music caters toward streaming, thus we have short moody tracks in this song’s case it terminates at the 2 minute 17 seconds mark. The song is heavy on energy and is excellent fuel to sustain a headspace. It may not be a starter track to turn the energy of a room if opposite to the mood of this music.

The Video itself is serviceable, shot in various locals. There is no cohesive visual story beyond what the viewer may assume to what links the themes of the lyrics, They have some sort of card operation which fuels their lifestyle and needed protection. They are not posing as a narrative observer describing what happens, as they are quite a part of the action. The visual are not bad, but this is standard fare for today’s market.
